As per October 1st 2021, almost all chemical items containing TiO2 will have a change in classification. The items will have to be labelled with the additional classification “EUH211 – Warning! Hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed. Do not breathe spray or mist.” or “EUH212 – Warning! Hazardous respirable dust may be formed when used. Do not breathe dust.”
We have been in contact with our group suppliers in order to find out if they see a possibility to change the recipe. The feedback from, more or less, all of them is that there is no short-term solution and thus no possibility to remove the substance from the recipe. Therefore the new classification will have to be adapted on the labels as per October 1st 2021.
Some of you have items in your local range which are also affected. If this is the case you have been informed accordingly by Pia Ahlgren, Würth International, on October 22nd 2020.
In order to make sure we have sufficient time to change the labels, the new safety texts will be delivered by Verisk 3E during the coming weeks. The Label Team of Würth International will initiate the change of all the labels for the group items.
